Dates
If you want to specify a date in Romanian (so you don't confuse them with the day as the month and the month as the day :) ). You would say it like this.

1 Ian 2004 3:30 (1 Ianuarie 2004 3:30)
9 Apr 2004 1:15 (9 Apr 2004 1:15)
19 Iul 2004 11:40 (19 Iulie 2004 11:40)

If you want to say you're going somewhere or doing something and you want to specify the day you say,
Eu merg la bucurești luni - I'm going to Bucharest Monday
No preposition needed.
If you want to stress you're going on Monday (put more emphasis that you are) you say,
Eu merg luni la bucurești

If you want to say you go somewhere repeatedly and you want to specify the date you say,
Lunea merg la bucurești - I go to Bucharest on Mondays

If you want to specify the exact date you use the preposition "pe". Just look at the example. :)
Merg la bucurești pe 1 martie 2004. - I'm going to Bucharest on March 1st, 2004.
